Remembrance Sunday 9th November 2008
Trafalgar Studios, Whitehall, London

Eloquent Protest is a powerful piece of theatre fusing music, poetry and drama. An artist’s response to the price of war, which honours the fallen and counts the cost of their sacrifice.

Following the success of Eloquent Protest in 2006 and 2007 this unique event returned by special request to the main stage in Studio 1 at the Trafalgar Studios in London’s West End on Remembrance Sunday 9th November 2008.

Former MP and veteran campaigner Tony Benn will again hosted the event together with acclaimed actress and singer Janie Dee.

An ever-growing cast of outstanding and award winning artists joined the 2006/2007 company of actors Rupert Wickham, John Guerrasio, Sam Ellis, Dan Willis, Loveday Littman and Noreen Kershaw, singers Peter Straker, Johnnie Fiori, Nigel Cliffe (baritone, Royal Opera House), Fiona MacDonald, (mezzo, Scottish Opera), poet David Harsent and musicians Julian Littman and Charlotte Forrest. The artists gave of their time freely and all profits went to Medecins Sans Frontieres.

“...as a veteran this is one of the most moving events I have been to and hope it grows each year so that in 2010 it can be seen at the Albert Hall...” - Audience Member
